| Introduction |

| The M.Phil/ PhD Food and Nutrition programme is a value added degree programme that focuses on the research based prevention of wide range of avoidable nutritional problems. The programme is partially funded by DFID & British Council under Higher Education Link (HEL) Programme. Technical assistance and expert advice has been provided by the Center for Health and Nutrition Research, Nine Wells Hospital of University of Dundee, Scotland. |

| Eligibility Criteria |
|
- The minimum entry requirement for M.Phil/ PhD Food and Nutrition is masters’ degree in following discipline with at least 2 nd division.
- Community Health and Nutrition
- M.Sc (Food and Nutrition) and M.Sc (Human Nutrition)
However admission will be entirely restricted to the number of seats available and results of an entry test and interview. The applicant would be required to undertake a computer based entry test and interview as per schedule announced by the University before being admitted to the M.Phil degree programme. |

M.Phil/ PhD Food and Nutrition was first time launched in Autumn 2003. Initially the programme is offered in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Currently six students are enrolled and they are in the 2 nd semester. |

M.Phil/ PhD Food and Nutrition programme has been launched in Autumn 2003. Initially it is for the students of Rawalpindi/ Islamabad. The first badge is in the thesis stage.
