Geo TV Vs Star plus dramas and Female Viewers Perception is an invited paper by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Mahsud . The paper finds that Star Plus dramas portray more gender interaction such as mix gathering, joint office work, drinking habits in parties, dancing, handshaking, kissing, and modeling than Geo TV dramas. The results also show that both the channels portray females more in ascribed roles like mother, mother in law, daughter, and daughter in law, sister and wife than portraying them in achieved roles like teacher, nurse, journalist, lawyer and sales girl. However, the Star Plus significantly portrays them more in ascribed roles than the Geo TV. Neglecting Press and Failure in Population Control in Pakistan is an invited paper by Dr. Bakht Rawan, which analyses the contents of national daily newspapers “The News” and “Jang” for the year 1999 and found that very little coverage was given to family planning.
