| Introduction |
|
| The family and community health programme has been developed after long and thorough meetings with wide range of medical, health and community based institutions/ organizations presently involved in the vocational and professional training of Para-medical, Nursing and family welfare workers. The programme provides a common professional and educational foundation for health support staff i.e. Para-medical staff and nurses that will complement their vocational and professional training.

HSSC Family and Community Health was launched in 1997. Since then students are motivated to engage in this programme. The enrollment of last three years are shown in these graphs:

HSSC Family and Community Health was first time launched in 1997. It is offered all over Pakistan and in both semesters i.e., Autumn and Spring. Initially the enrollment of the students was high but gradually as the new programmes launched, it started declining. But still male students are more interested than females. Year and gender wise distribution of degree awarded students is shown in the bar graph.
